The Northern California coast, with its jagged details and frigid ambiance, has been the backdrop to many a chapter of my life. This beautiful stretch of land spans over 400 miles - from the windswept cypress trees of Mendocino to the towering cliffs of Big Sur. Its varied landscape makes for endless adventures and subsequent photo opportunities, each one unique and stunning in its own way.
Capturing the Northern California coast on film produces stunning results because of the way the light plays off the landscape. The warm golden hues from different times of the day harmoniously mingle with the vibrant cool blues and deep greens, creating a symphony of dynamic and captivating images.
This is where the natural world still reigns supreme, and where every bend holds a promise of something remarkable. But for me, it's not just the scenery that makes this region exceptional. It is the sum of my experiences - the camping, the speardiving, the hiking - that have cultivated familiarity with the land over the years. With each photo, I aim to selfishly capture these personalized emotions and share the region's significance with others.
